In the statement of intent:

ensure that any capital dredging and reclamation works will be dealt with asState significant infrastructure, and major hazards facilities as State significantdevelopment;· ensure the ongoing integrity of the shipping channel supporting port operations,whereby any development that requires consent and is proposed in the shippingchannel (as mapped) must be referred to the private port operator for comment,and the port operator’s comments must be considered by the consent authority;
